Of the subscribers that responded to our survey, 89% were employed by independents and 11% by majors. In answering as to respondent’s professional background, 20% were engineering, 44% geology, 14% geophysics , 8% land management, and 14% listed themselves as other. As to our subscriber’s responses, 20% indicated the most significant distraction is office politics, 38% insufficient technical support/technology, 36% pulled off to support/perform other assignments too often, and 6% given too little time to do an adequate job. I sincerely appreciate the willingness of those who have responded to our survey questions and hope that a review of the results has proved to be informative.
