Mike
Cherry has 29 years of industry experience as a petroleum
engineer and engineering & operations manager. Prior to his forming
CEC Energy Consultants, Mr. Cherry was the CEO for a small independent
oil company and prior to that Engineering Manager for a mid-sized
independent and District Engineer for a major. In his over 16 years
as the CEO he was responsible for all exploration, production, engineering,
operations, and business development activities in the Mid-Continent,
Permian Basin, East Texas, Rocky Mountain, and Gulf Coast. Because
of his diverse experience in the upstream sector of the oil and gas
industry, Mr. Cherry is keenly aware of the technical requirements
needed to make asset investment decisions in today's competitive environment,
and he focuses his technical consulting on providing the analysis
necessary to make profitable decisions about the exploitation and
development of corporate assets.
Tom
Wittick brings 30 years of geophysical
experience to the team. In his over 16 years as President and consultant
at Lindon Exploration he has spent much of his time using geophysics
to map reservoir characteristics and estimate the economic value
of producing properties. He has successfully used geophysics to
find new reserves in old producing fields and to estimate reservoir
properties using seismic data. Before founding Lindon Exploration
Mr. Wittick was Division Exploration Manager for a medium-sized
independent oil company, and prior to that held positions of Seismic
Data Processing Manager, Division Geophysicist and Geophysicist
for various oil and contractor companies in the industry.
Les Seibert has been involved in the energy industry
for 28 years, prior to his association with CEC Energy Consultants.
Since 1986 he has lead Information & Technology initiatives, providing
first class technology and data management to the mid-sized energy
market. His unique cross-functional background and experiences
have become invaluable in supporting an industry that has changed
so dramatically over the years.
Beginning with KN Energy (Kinder-Morgan) in a lead position within
Gas Supply Services, Mr. Seibert evolved numerous programming
projects that revolutionized the company's ability to forecast
production, maintain pipeline transportation and exchange check
and balances, maintained reserve statistics. During this period
he also served on the AGA mid-continental reserve sub-committee.
Providing technical leadership for Plains Petroleum Co., Hugoton
Energy Corp. and 3TEC Energy Corp. and as a consultant, similar
services to Bristol Resources, Encore Acquisition and Petrohawk
Energy Mr. Seibert is very aware of the issues that often dominate
the mid-sized energy business. He has managed start-up and ramp-up
situations, confronted the impact of mergers, acquisitions and
divestitures upon technical services and information management
within these companies. He has provided these companies with seamless
integration of newly acquired properties, from an accounting,
administration, engineering and operations perspective.
With his strong business background, real energy and Information
& Technology experience Mr. Seibert has evolved a unique broad-based
"Energy/Technology" perspective that insures rapid, accurate and
efficient problem resolution.
Dan
Abney has 30 years of industry experience as an operations
superintendent and field supervisor. Prior to his joining CEC
Energy Consultants, Mr. Abney was the operations superintendent
for a small independent oil company and prior to that a field
supervisor for a mid-sized independent and held various supervisory
positions with a major well servicing company over its field operations.
In his over 18 years as an operations superintendent he was responsible
for all operational aspects to include drilling optimization,
completion design, and production operations in the Mid-Continent,
Permian Basin, East Texas, Rocky Mountains, and Gulf Coast of
Texas and Louisiana and provides CEC Energy Consultants with world-class
operations management capability for out-sourced projects.
